Ahhhhhh...This spring Weather
Ever get tired of your work environment?
This past week has been a struggle. Trust us, you aren't jealous of us on these cold, wet, crazy busy May days. When we tell people we are landscapers the response is usually "That's hard work but at least you get to be outside!" Both true statements, but we're pretty sure nobody is picturing days like we've had this past week when they say we 'get to be outside'!
Really weather?!?
Field work only happened 2.5 out of 5 days this week!! That's a 50% loss of productivity! Did that math myself. This is sooo frustrating in a month that everyone wants all the work done. Thankfully this year's team is shaping up to be a collection of rockstars and we managed to get more than 50% of our ambitious list tackled. Thank you team Gaia 2017!!
We try to push on, with wet gear and frozen fingers, knowing all too well Mother Nature is boss out here in our office. For today she puts us on hold and we sit inside staying warm. We try to be grateful for this time to catch up on a long list of quotes and designs for potential jobs we hope to get to sometime this season if it ever stops raining....
